Laminate flooring is attractive, and gives you the looks of a hard wood floor without the heavy price tag. These floors can be used in any area of your
Before installing your laminate floor, make sure that your sub floor is flat and smoothly laid out. Underlayment should be used under your floor for sound proofing purposes. Inspect flooring panels, and look for damage before installation, or else you could have uneven planks that can't be locked together. Choose a High Pressure Laminate that is more expensive, but offers a greater variety of designs, higher durability and enhanced inter locking mechanisms. Prices vary from the lowest end to high end ranges, and quality is usually determined by price.
Although laminate floors come with AC ratings that signify that they have passed all test requirements, you still need to take care of your laminate floor to avoid dents and stains. Look for an AC rating of 3 for your home, although a rating of AC 1 will do for a light use room like a bed room. Protect your floor by using rugs or carpets, and make sure that all floor coverings are made of color fast materials that won't stain your floor. Avoid rough carpet materials that may catch your floor. Never use house hold bleach, ammonia cleaners or detergents to clean your laminate floors. Use products that are recommended by your manufacturer.

I have a five bedroom house. I need cheap durable carpet for the entire house. |
We would like to have oak hardwood floors installed in our 10 X 11 kitchen. The wood planks would need to be 2 1/4 wide to match the wood in the dining room. How much would you charge for material and installation? Thanks. |
